The world may teach us that we are not safe, we are not enough, and that we will always be alone. However, I believe we should never give up on, even unconsciously, the fact that there is reason for hope. In our work together, it will become abundantly clear that you are indeed not alone, you are enough, and you can be safe and secure as a new reality. Whether you are five, sixty-five, or anywhere in between, I would be honored to journey with you toward healing.

Some of the issues I work on with young clients include anxiety, trauma, understanding giftedness, emotion regulation, social issues, family and relationships, and life transitions. With adults, the work may focus on parenting concerns, resolving trauma or childhood wounds, or struggling to get to a better place in life if addiction or negative patterns are keeping you stuck. I use empirically validated interventions in a collaborative, holistic way.

  • My professional experience includes working with school age children and their learning and social issues; at-risk, court-involved youth and their families; as well as adults struggling with addiction and recovery issues. Additionally, I enjoyed teaching in the Social and Human Services and Chemical Dependency Certificate and Psychology BA Programs at Seattle Central College.

  • I grew up with a grandfather who faithfully played the church organ every Sunday well into old age. While his gifts aren’t mine, his service was an inspiration for me to participate in church music ministry as a young teenager, in my college years, and now in my adult years. It is a blessing to share the Good News in word and song.
