I want to provide a safe space where you can be truly open and honest about the realities of your life; the good, the bad, and the ugly. I believe that honesty and vulnerability are gateways to growth and that every person holds intrinsic value. You will be treated with respect and dignity as we address the areas of your life that you’d like to change. I take a solutions-focused approach to therapy. Often, this looks like starting by defining the kind of life you want to live, then taking intentional steps toward that life.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Therapy heavily influence my work as a therapist but I also borrow skills and concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have experience treating mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and OCD as well as relational difficulties. I enjoy working with adults, couples, and teens. I love the role I get to play as a therapist who meets people right where they are and walks with them toward health, healing, and a meaningful life.

  • I started serving in youth ministry when I was a Sophomore in high school. My youth group and youth pastor had such a profound impact on me that I felt called to make a positive impact on others. I went to college and studied Youth Ministries while continuing to serve students in various contexts. I loved getting to know students and discovering how God uniquely made them. After graduating, I began working at a local church as a youth director for middle school and high school students. After moving to Phoenix, AZ, I worked on staff as the Junior High Pastor. It was in my experience as a youth pastor that I continued to find myself interacting with students in their families who were struggling with symptoms of mental illness and relational difficulties. As much as I wanted to help these students and their families, I felt ill-equipped to do so. These experiences were significant in motivating me to return to school and get equipped for helping people pursue mental, emotional, and relational health. Now that I am working as a therapist, I see how God continues to use my previous ministry experiences and education to pair with therapeutic skills and concepts to benefit my clients.

  • I was born and raised in Sonoma county. My wife and I met here and love continuing to explore this beautiful area. When I am not working, I enjoy riding bikes, running, reading, trying new restaurants or recipes, going to the gym, and being with family and friends.
